  • 1925

    Tsunejiro Minami, the founder and the first company president, started the wrought iron tooling business “Nantsune Cutlery Works” at 4-chome Katsuyama-dori, Tennoji-ku, Osaka City

  • 1929

    “Nantsune” became the registered trademark. The company was known as Nantsune Works for its unique cutting flavor.
    Inspired by Netherlands Berkel ham and bacon cutting machines, the company created Japan’s first meat cutting machine and started manufacturing and selling it

  • 1949

    The name of the Nantsune Works was changed to the Nantsune Machinery Works due to business expansion

  • 1954

    Tsuneo Minami (2nd generation), the eldest son, succeeded the business and established “Nantsune Iron Works Co., Ltd.” transforming from a private enterprise

  • 1955

    Started manufacturing and selling ham cutters, mince machines, and delicatessen equipment

  • 1960

    Built and relocated to a reinforced concrete factory in Tatsumi Nishi-Ashirodai-cho, Ikuno-ku, Osaka City

  • 1961

    Started manufacturing and selling ham and sausage processing machines
    Manufactured and sold roller-type meat cutting machines which later became bestsellers

  • 1964

    Built a processing machine specialized factory in Yao City, Osaka Prefecture, and relocated the processing machinery division

  • 1967

    Started construction of the current factory in Fujiidera City for factory expansion. Completed the first phase of construction and closed and relocated the Yao factory

  • 1969

    Completed the second phase of Fujiidera factory construction and relocated the Ikuno head office factory

  • 1978

    December 24: Founder and Chairman Nichijo Minami passed away (Shodoin Nichijo Shonin)

  • 1979

    April 8: Funeral ceremony for Shodoin Nichijo Shonin, completed Kanjiso
    Opened Seishin Dojo

  • 1980

    Exhibited at AMI show in Chicago
    Established “Zen-Shoku-Ki”

  • 1983

    President Tsuneo Minami received the Osaka Prefecture Governor’s Award (Industry Merit Award)

  • 1984

    Established Nantsune Co., Ltd.
    Manufactured and launched high-speed slicer “Meat Robo”

  • 1985

    Formed sales partnerships with Young Dong Industries (Korea) and Kikit Trading Co., Ltd. (Taiwan)
    Established Beijing Nantsune Meat Food Machinery Co., Ltd. in China as a joint venture with Beijing City
    Formed sales partnership with Chinese Kitchen Equipment Co., Ltd. (Hong Kong)

  • 1986

    Beijing Nantsune started production

  • 1988

    President Tsuneo Minami received the Director-General’s Award for Machinery and Information Industry Bureau of MITI
    Started OEM with Atsuji Industries (Korea)
    Manufactured and launched chop cutters

  • 1989

    2nd generation president Tsuneo Minami retired and became Chairman, 3rd generation president Kojiro Minami took office
    Confirmed strengthened partnership with Germany’s Bizerba

  • 1990

    Established Kanto Nantsune Co., Ltd.

  • 1991

    Signed OEM partnership with UK’s AEW company
    Completed head office building

  • 1992

    Chairman Tsuneo Minami received the Medal with Blue Ribbon

  • 1994

    Formed sales partnership with Kazsas Inc. in the United States

  • 1995

    Beijing Nantsune relocated factory due to production expansion
    Product Liability Law enacted

  • 1998

    Chairman Tsuneo Minami received the Order of the Sacred Treasure, Gold Rays with Rosette for industry contributions

  • 1999

    Established Nantsune Korea Co., Ltd. in Korea as a joint venture with Young Dong Tech

  • 2002

    Beijing Nantsune built and relocated to a new factory for business expansion
    Acquired ISO9001 certification

  • 2005

    Changed company name to Nantsune Co., Ltd.
    Established Shanghai Nantsune Food Machinery Co., Ltd.

  • 2007

    Exhibited at Worldwide Food Expo held in Chicago, USA

  • 2010

    3rd generation president Kojiro Minami retired, 4th generation president Tsuneyuki Minami took office

  • 2011

    Beijing Nantsune acquired shares from Chinese joint venture partner and became a wholly owned subsidiary
    Renewed corporate logo

  • 2015

    July 30: Chairman Nichido Minami passed away

  • 2016

    Held commemorative ceremony celebrating the 30th anniversary of Beijing Nantsune’s establishment

  • 2017

    Opened homemade ham and sausage store “MEAT DELI MOST”

  • 2018

    Received Food Industrial Technical Award for fixed weight slicers NTD-165, NTD-165F, NTD-300, NTD-300F

  • 2019

    Received JAPAN PACK AWARDS for poultry plastic bag automated unseal and dehydration machine AIR-2K
    Opened bistro-type meat deli store “MEAT DELI Nicklaus’

  • 2020

    Received Japan Society for the Promotion of Machine Industry Chairman’s Prize for poultry plastic bag automated unseal and dehydration machine AIR-2K
    Released industry first automated meat dish up machine
    Opened “Nicklaus Umeda EST Store”

  • 2022

    Received The Excellence Prize of 1st FOOMA Award 2022 (NTDPD-340 + CM-230)

  • 2025

    Celebrate 100th year of establishment
    Received The Excellence Prize of 4th FOOMA Award 2025 (NUS-340III)
